  • A procedure to collect  two units of red cells from autologous donors is introduced
  • The 8150 red cell and plasma system is launched
1995
  • The MCS®+  and the Autoflo surgical salvage systems are launched
  • A procedure to collect one unit of red cells and one unit of plasma from allogeneic donors is introduced
  • Haemonetics acquires the Intravenous Solutions Manufacturing Facility in Union, South Carolina
Latham bowl
1994
  • The Cell Saver® 5 system is launched
  • Manufacturing of the blow molded bowl begins at the Leetsdale, PA facility (this is the first time a “blow molded” bowl is manufactured at a Haemonetics facility)
  • The Bothwell, Scotland manufacturing facility is opened
1993
  • The PCS® 2 system is launched
  • The “blow molded” version of the plasma collection bowl is introduced
Cell Saver 5 system

  • Haemonetics begins direct sales and service in Japan
  • The MCS® mobile apheresis system is introduced

  • The Cell Haemonetics successfully completes an initial public offering (HAE) on the NYSE
  • The Braintree, MA facility expands to 355 Wood Road
